O Woman, Great is Thy Faith...

Seeing your desperate estate will lead you to a determined action of faith and THAT moves Jesus.  These two women recognized where their help would come from and with desperate faith, went for it.

It didn't matter that one was just another face in a throng of people...

Mark 5:24-33

And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse. When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

...or the other was an intruder to a private dinner.

Matthew 15:22-28

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me.
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

They each had a need that the world could not provide and when they heard of Jesus; they knew that they MUST get to Him no matter what the cost.    It is a moving and unwavering faith that makes YOU move toward HIM and away from yourself and man's opinions.  Acknowledging your helplessness and wretchedness leads you to a place of reverent faith that moves you because all your confidence is no longer in anyone other than Christ.
I wanna be THIS kind of woman in my prayers to my Savior.  When praying for myself, as the first woman did, or interceding for another, like the Syropheonician woman.  They neither one cared what man would say or do.  All they wanted was a touch from the Master...and they GOT IT!
