Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in Him,  the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.  (Col. 2:7, John 15:5)

Yesterday, I was listening to a sermon about how when we are living in Christ we yield the fruits of the spirit... love, joy, peace, patience, temperance, goodness, meekness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control...Then later on that evening, I  had a conversation with my brother about how, when we abide in Christ, we do not have to give way to sin but to try apart from Him in our own strength,  we will surely fail.  So; this morning, when these two verses were my devotional readings  (each from different places I might add :) ), I had to marvel at the love of my Heavenly Father and the compassion He has on me... I love how He talks to us and affirms His truths in our hearts, bringing encouragement and conviction to our lives that increases our faith. 

May we ever seek Him early, for it's a promise that when we do, we shall find Him!
